Privacy policy

The short version: everything you mark stays on your phone. Lightjar sends a few counters and dates to its notification service so a page can come back at the right time, and purchases go through Google Play and RevenueCat. No accounts, no ads, no selling data.

What stays on your phone
Everything you mark (circles, ticks, doodles, handwriting, letters) and every page lives only in a file on your phone. It is never uploaded, and it is excluded from device backups. Uninstalling Lightjar deletes it.
What notifications need
To send pages back, Lightjar uses OneSignal. OneSignal receives:
- a push token, device model, OS version, language, time zone, app version and approximate country (from your IP address);
- a few counters and dates Lightjar sets: how many marks you've made (not what they are), when you last marked, when a page is next due back, whether tomorrow is one of your slow days, whether notifications are on, whether you tapped "Not today", whether you have Lightjar+, and a random A/B group.
These decide when a page is sent. OneSignal also receives events such as "a page was shown" or "a mark was added", with counts and scene names only. Your city, dates and marks never leave your phone.
Weather
If you pick a city, Lightjar asks Open-Meteo for that city's weather using the city's coordinates. Your device location is never used or requested.
Purchases
Lightjar+ is sold through Google Play and managed by RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID, purchase history and your OneSignal ID (so a reminder can come two days before a free trial ends). Lightjar never sees your payment details.
Sharing
A page only leaves your phone when you tap share, as an image, to the app you choose. You can hide your marks first.
What Lightjar doesn't do
No accounts. No ads. No selling or sharing data for advertising. No location. No contacts. No health data. Lightjar offers kind words; it is not a medical or mental-health service.
Children
Lightjar is not directed at children under 13.
Your choices
Turn notifications off at any time in Android settings. Uninstall to delete everything on your phone. To ask OneSignal or RevenueCat to delete the little they hold, email abos111@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date, and in the app under Settings → privacy.
